After the first announcement from JMDP dated February 14 (Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) )
To whom it may concern:
After the first announcement from JMDP dated February 14, 2020, JMDP collected the information from National Government and WHO, and made the guidelines for our business under the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The guidelines are consisted of the followings;
1. Donors' eligibility criteria:
Donor candidate who has the following items would be ineligible;
a) More than 4 consecutive days fever (≧37.5 centigrade), general fatigue, dyspnea and pointed out the possibility of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection at the consulting center
b) Within 4 weeks after the returning from the endemic area (China)
c) Within 4 weeks after the last contact with a person with confirmed 2019-nCoV infection.
History of 2019-nCoV infection :
Donor candidate who has recovered from the infection more than 3 months before could donate.
2. Operation guidelines for
a) Donor coordinators
b) Seven regional office / Central office
c) Transplant / Collection centers
have been distributed to the corresponding people.
3. The scheduled Confirmatory Typing Tests (CT) in Hokkaido have been postponed following the declaration "state of emergency" to call on residents to remain indoors over the weekend due to spreading coronavirus infections.
4. JMDP will continue the coordinate-business in Main-island, Shikoku, Kyusyu and Okinawa of Japan under strict observance of the guidelines.
